It turns out the writer (Jerry Siegel? Otto Binder?) wrote the background for the 2005 mini-series "The Surrogates" (source of the 2009 film) 45 years ahead of time. (Lois came up with a pretty good solution to her predicament, didn't she?)

Looks like the Grand Comics Database doesn't know who to credi for the story either. Siegel or Binder? One of the great existential questions.

@Siskoid, in the old DCU, Siegel wrote it on Earth-Prime, Binder wrote it in whatever universe Flex Mentallo was set in. A win-win.
